My 16th birthday tomorrow and I'm vegan. So you have a recipe for chocolate cake vegan but I'm looking for a good year to freeze? Can anyone help? Thank you!
This is from Vegan with a Vengeance by Isa Chandra Moskowitz ... The I have done, is delicious. This is a great cookbook, especially for desserts and breakfast foods. She also has a cupcake book, I'm sure that has much glacé it more delicious. This recipe should make enough to freeze frost 2 8-inch round cakes and then have some remains of the decoration is ... if you do not need much, then you can halve the recipe. Chocolate ganache and meringue-3 / 4 cup soy cream (if not available, soy milk is fine) 6 tablespoons non-hydrogenated margarine 10 oz semisweet chocolate chips (all vegan, of course) In a saucepan over medium heat, bring cream to a boil soybeans lower. Add margarine and melt, turn off the heat and stir in chocolate chips until smooth. Let stand for at least 1 hour. Still must have a pourable consistency at this point. If you want a spreadable consistency, then refrigerate for an hour. (If you refrigerate for more than a few hours, is set too to spread easily, by so you need to warm up, then let stand at room temperature before using.)
